Nan Holmes lives on the island of Oahu. She is a self-taught photographer and has enjoyed photography since she was a child. Following careers in public health and organizational consulting she began painting in 1984 and in 1987 founded PlayWorks®, an art studio focusing on process painting, free expression and sandplay for adults and children. Artist's Statement: For me, healing of mind, body and soul is a journey, not a destination. I strive to infuse my work with the transformational power of spirit. The process of creation in artwork is my way to inspire and heal myself and others.
